New John Deere 6120EH Tractor Offers High Clearance To Protect Crops
With an axle boasting a maximum clearance of 33 inches (84 centimeters), John Deere’s new 6120EH has the ground clearance to protect high-value crops and maximize yields.
"High-value crop production requires the ability to pull implements and conduct harvesting operations over rows of varying widths without damaging the crop," says John Deere Marketing Manager Dennis Ogle. "The 6120EH provides up to 30 inches of drawbar ground clearance to avoid damaging the plant or roots during applications such as cultivating, spraying, transplanting and harvest."
Creep Along
John Deere’s 6120EH features a 12F/12R PowrReverser creeper transmission with a minimum speed of 0.14 mph (0.22 km/h) at the rated engine speed. This low speed lets the 6120EH match the pace of field workers in specialty operations, such as vegetable and fruit farms. An LED lighting package is also onboard to provide lighting when harvest operations work in low light conditions; LED lights are on both the front hood and cab of the tractor.
Variable Row Spacing
The 6120EH can utilize tread spacings of 72, 76, 80, or 84 in. (183, 193, 203, 213 cm) to match with crop row spacing of 36-, 38-, 40-, or 42-in. (91-, 97-, 102-, or 107-cm) widths, respectively. A variety of front and rear tire size options are also available to reduce the chance of compaction or provide greater traction, depending on your needs. The Category 2 three-point hitch offers a lift capacity of 8,161.5 pounds (3,702 kilograms) to pull harvest wagons, sprayers, transplant equipment, and cultivators.
