Case IH Precision 500T Air Drill Gains New Single-Rank Configuration With 15-Inch Spacing
Case IH’s Precision Disk 500 series of air drills has a new single-rank configuration available with 15-inch (38-centimeter) spacing for its Precision Disk 500T single-disk model. Case IH describes the new variant as a “simple, yet effective and efficient, seeding solution,” and says it’s ideal for seeding soybeans or other specialty crops in no-till or conventional-tillage fields. Featuring elements of the company’s Agronomic Design approach, the new option is available in 30- and 40-foot (9.14- and 12.2-meter) toolbar widths with either a 70- or 100-bushel onboard seed tank with included seed meter.
Four-Section Control
Case IH says its Precision Disk series air drills provide highly accurate seed placement no matter of the tillage, residue, or cropping practice present. Along with seed sensors and in-cab monitoring, the Precision Disk 500T provides in-cab row unit down-pressure control and easy calibration and loading due to the tank-mounted weigh scale. The air drill also allows for four-section control, meaning reduced input costs due to the elimination of seed overlapping. The machine’s 30- and 40-foot configurations come with standard flotation (12 wheels total) and high flotation (16 wheels) tire options, support for a front hitch or Cat IV clevis hitch connection, and the ability to control functions and view data on an AFS (Advanced Farm System) Pro 700 display.
“Unmatched Accuracy”
“Even in tough field conditions, the most important job of any air drill is to ensure even and accurate seed placement,” says Trent Nowosad, Case IH marketing manager for seeding equipment. “This new soybean special configuration combines the unmatched accuracy and versatility of our 500T model with a simple, single-rank design, making it an ideal option for soybean and specialty crop producers.”
