Case IH Adds 18-Row Configuration With 30-Inch Spacing For 2130 Early Riser Stack-Fold Planter
Among the recent additions Case IH has made to its lineups of seeding and planting machines is a new 18-row configuration with 30-inch (76.2-centimeter) spacing for its 2130 Early Riser stack-fold planter from its Early Riser 2000 series planter lineup. The new configuration incorporates Case IH’s new Agronomic Design characteristics, which means that in addition to letting growers cover more acres in less time, the planter has new parallel link assemblies that enable more accurate, consistent seed placement. The design also enables ideal seed-to-soil contact and quick, uniform germination, Case IH says. The 18-row configuration is the largest available variant of the 2130 Early Riser stack-fold planter.
Added Flexibility
The 18-row 2130 is now available for order, as are retro-fit options for the 16-row 2130. The planter also comes in a 12-row configuration with 30- to 40-inch (101.6-cm) spacing and 16-row option with 30-inch spacing. The 2000 Early Riser series, meanwhile, also includes the 2140 pivot-fold, 2150 front-fold, and 2160 large front-fold models. The 2130 stack-fold planter’s features include a mounted three-point hitch that Case IH says is ideal for strip-till and flood irrigation operations, as well as cotton, peanut, edible bean, and other specialty crops. Available factory-installed options include a metering system that can handle each seed type.
You Asked, Case IH Listened
“Producers tell us they need larger planters and equipment to help cover more acres and increase productivity during planting season,” says Case IH Crop Production Marketing Manager Ken Lehmann. “We’ve heard from many producers who are interested in controlled traffic and want to match their planting traffic with their sprayer or tillage passes. This new 18-row configuration aims to give them that option and flexibility.”
