A Look At The GRAPES’ LINE Tow Harvesters From PELLENC
Last autumn PELLENC announced a new range of pull-type grape harvesters aimed at the professional market. The company endowed its GRAPES’ LINE 40, 45, 60, 70, and 80 machines with new technologies based on customer needs.
Common Features
All of the GRAPES’ LINE family share a baseline set of features including a stainless-steel L-shaped conveyor and other parts, an automatic tension system for the conveyor that can be monitored by the driver, and a leaf-removal system that doesn’t waste any of the juice.
Other common features include the Selectiv’ Process destemmer/sorter that avoids breakage of the grapes, and also the AUTOTORQUE system designed to automatically adjust to uphill and downhill driving.
More From The 60, 70, & 80
The upper three models in the GRAPES’ LINE series come with additional innovations for vineyard harvest time. The 60 and 80 units, for example, come with a touchscreen display and optimized driving interfaces.
The 60, 70, and 80 harvesters include up to 10 pairs of shakers and shock absorbers; new, more compliant picking arms; valves that automatically shut off in the chutes during tipping operations; a dual braking system for safety purposes; and various features to make washing up easier and safer.
PELLENC also addressed the needs of narrow-row vineyards with the OPTIMUM 340 tractor and a corresponding harvester head. \
