CONFIRM YEAR AND MODEL Bomet Single Row Potato Digger/Harvester Overview The Bomet Upus Single Row Potato Digger is a PTO-driven potato harvester designed for efficient small to medium-scale potato harvesting with reduced crop damage and improved soil separation. Mounted on the tractor’s three-point linkage, the digger uses a lifting share and vibrating conveyor system to separate potatoes from soil and plant material before placing the crop neatly behind the machine for collection. Well suited to market gardens, lifestyle farms, and commercial growers operating single-row ridge systems. Current NZ stock is fitted with pneumatic tyres. Manual potato harvesting is slow, labour intensive, and often results in unnecessary crop damage. The Upus digger is designed to speed up harvesting, reduce manual labour, improve crop recovery, minimise bruising and cutting damage, and improve soil separation during lifting. Its conveyor design provides cleaner harvesting compared to simple vibrating plough-style potato diggers, making it better suited to growers wanting improved harvesting efficiency without moving into large commercial harvesting equipment.
