New Holland 2024 Braud Compact Grape Harvesters Have More Power & New Transmission
New Holland has updated the three models in its 2024 Braud compact grape harvester lineup with a revised hydrostatic transmission, new styling, the latest IntelliView IV Plus touchscreen terminal, and a more comfortable operator’s seat. Select models also gain a boost in engine power and a larger hopper capacity.
Meet The New Braud Grape Harvesters
For 2024, the Braud 7.50M, 7.30L, and 8.50L models replace the 7030M, 7030L, and 8030L variants, respectively. Each new machine has a 4-cylinder FPT engine without exhaust recirculation. The 7.50M and 8.50L each receive a 16-horsepower (12-kilowatt) power boost to 144 HP (107 kW) of maximum output. The 7.30L retains the 128-HP (95-kW) output of its predecessor.
The 7.30L also carries over its predecessor’s 88-bushel (3,100-liter) hopper capacity. The other new models get a 14-bu (500-L) boost in capacity. The standard 7.50M has a 79.5-bu (2,800-L) hopper while Opti-Grape variants have 45.4-bu (1,600-L) hoppers. The standard 8.50L has a 102-bu (3,600-L) capacity and the Opti-Grape II versions have a 68-bu (2,400-L) capacity.
Even More Efficient
New Holland says the revised hydrostatic transmission is more efficient and delivers stable operation on slopes. Automatic height and lateral tilt correction provide up to 30% slope correction for the 8.50L.
Operators can raise the height of each model in three adjustment levels. Maximum heights are 23.6 inches (600 millimetres) for the 8.50L and 19.7 in. (500 mm) for the 7.50M and 7.30L.
Better Visibility
The IntelliView IV Plus terminal features a new main screen with improved display quality and a more responsive touchscreen. The terminal supports feeds from up to four cameras and includes a new visibility-enhancing rearview monitor view. Operators will also benefit from more powerful cab-mounted work lights and a new external mirror package.
Enhanced Harvesting Performance
Updated harvesting heads and a simpler pinch adjustment for the SDC Shaking System produce better harvesting performance. The new pinch adjustment arrangement maintains consistent vine shaking regardless of the vegetation’s thickness.
Optimized shaker plates are included with the 7.50M and as an option for the 8.50L. These turn on automatically at the fruiting zone and are easily removable.
More Helpful Options
Additional options include a comfort-enhancing front axle suspension and Opti-Grape II cleaning and cane removal systems.
Customers can add a static weighing system and enable a 10-foot (3.05-meter) unloading height on variants with an auger. Also, a high-capacity SupAir sprayer from Berthoud is available for the 8.50L.
