New Holland Agriculture recently unveiled a new 4-post cab option for its entry-level T4F S orchard and vineyard tractors. Built for orchard, vineyard, and greenhouse work, the T4F S models are available in two versions: cab and rollover protection system (ROPS). In 2024, they will also be available with a new 75-horsepower (55-kilowatt), 3-cylinder FPT diesel engine.

New Holland showcased the new T4 developments in Montpellier, France, in late November at the SITEVI international trade fair for the wine, fruit, and olive-growing industries.

    Blue Cab 4 Double Filtration

The new cabin option for the New Holland T4F S range has a flat deck with ample leg room, like the cabs available on other T4 specialty tractors. Noticeably wide and spacious, the new cab allows the operator to adjust the seat and working environment for comfort and productivity.

New Holland’s patented Blue Cab 4 double-filtration system protects the operator from spray mist, dust, pollen, and other nuisance and even harmful contaminants.

New Holland T4F S Tractor Models

Currently, there are four New Holland T4F S tractor models with 75 to 110 HP (55 to 81 kW). The top model, the T4.110F S, uses a 3.6-liter, 4-cylinder FPT F5C engine with up to 361 pounds-foot (490 newton-meters) of torque. The Stage V engine’s exhaust aftertreatment resides under the hood so it doesn’t obstruct the operator’s view.

The compact dimensions of the T4F S series lend themselves to maneuverability, which can be enhanced by front axle options including New Holland’s SuperSteer. Besides the four available axle options, the tractors offer a choice between two- or four-wheel drive. A narrow version is available for tight orchard rows where a tractor must be 4.4 feet (1.35 meters) or less in width.

Transmission options for the T4F S range include a new 12x12 powershuttle, which can take the tractor to a 25 mph (40 km/h) top travel speed, and a new 12x12 mechanical shuttle offering simple operation. The operator can store two engine speed settings that work best for various applications. A creep speed package is available for low-speed tasks.

    Other T4F S Features

New Holland markets the T4F S as a reliable, robust, low-cost specialty tractor for orchards, greenhouses, and vineyards, as well as part-time farmers. The front end has a hitch and a factory-installed power take-off (PTO). In the rear, a new lift provides 6,173 pounds (2,800 kilograms) of lift capacity. The tractor’s MegaFlow hydraulic pump supplies up to 19.3 gallons (73 liters) per minute of flow to implements through rear and mid-mount remote valves.
