Futuristic New Holland Narrow Vineyard Straddle Tractor TE6 Range Shown At SITEVI In France

New Holland announced the availability of its new Straddle Tractor TE6 Range, first unveiled in April, at the SITEVI international trade show in November. SITEVI takes place in Pérols, France, and showcases innovative new equipment and technologies for the vine, wine, fruit, and olive growing sectors. The range currently consists of the TE6.120N and TE6.150N models.

An Award-Winning Concept

The compact, maneuverable TE6 is designed for the narrow vineyards typical of some of France’s most prestigious wine-producing regions. Its design draws inspiration from the Straddle Tractor Concept developed through a collaboration between New Holland and Italian design firm Pininfarina.

The TE6’s futuristic, stylish look evokes the shape of a glass of Champagne as an homage to premium wine growers in regions such as Champagne, Médoc, and Burgundy. The result earned the concept tractor both the Good Design Award and the German Design Award in 2022.

Multifunctional Performance

The TE6 boasts a new steering system that contributes to the machine’s excellent maneuverability in tight settings. The straddle tractor also has three independent tool zones that allow for various implement combinations; it also lets operators quickly change implements without leaving the cab. Switching out a trimmer, for example, takes less than 15 minutes, says New Holland. The tractor’s new IntelliFlow hydraulic system provides up to nine pump outlets.

Operators will also like the improved ergonomics and all-around visibility in the TE6’s renovated cab, as well as the complete tractor control provided by the IntelliView IV Plus display. The tractors’ MyPLM Connect lets growers monitor and manage data in real time from the tractor or remotely.
