New Holland Unveils New Pininfarina-Inspired TE6 Vineyard Tractors
New Holland recently announced a new Straddle Tractor model family, the TE6, which came out of a concept tractor developed in collaboration with Italian design firm Pininfarina. The Straddle Tractor Concept had a futuristic design evocative of a glass of Champagne in homage to the wine-growing regions of Champagne, Médoc, and Burgundy and was a winner of the Good Design Award and the German Design Award in 2022. The new tractor lineup has two models, the TE6.120N and the TE6.150N, that New Holland says will be available by the end of 2023.
“It’s with great pride that we add these Straddle tractors to our already excellent range, featuring a new design that combines our long-lasting identity with the most innovative features and inspired by the collaboration with a great design firm such as Pininfarina,” says New Holland Agriculture Brand President Carlo Lambro. “It brings elegance, comfort, and performance to our customers specialized in viticulture, and I’m excited to see it in action very soon in the most prestigious vineyards.”
Viva La Vino
The multifunction TE6 was designed specifically for narrow vineyards with the wine-producing regions of France in mind. Its compact design provides enhanced maneuverability and three independent tool zones built to work with an array of implement combinations. New Holland says the tractor lets operators change implements quickly and without leaving the cab; it can hook up a sprayer in less than 10 minutes, for example. The tractor is powered by an FTP Industrial Stage V engine and is equipped with New Holland’s IntelliFlow hydraulic system, IntelliView IV Plus display and rearview screens, and MyPLM Connect for monitoring and managing data in real time. New Holland builds the TE6 with a renovated cab with improved ergonomics and high all-around visibility.
“Multifunctionality, maneuverability, compact design, and power: these are the key elements of the new Straddle Tractor range that is completely revolutionizing our offering in Straddle tractors,” says New Holland Global Product and Platform Manager Thierry Le Briquer. “The best quality is ensured by our engineering and manufacturing at the Centre of Excellence in Coëx, France, where these tractors are produced and that is specialized in grape, olive harvesters and straddle tractors, serving customers worldwide.”
