2024 Honda FourTrax Foreman Rubicon 4x4 ATV Ready For Tough Work & Fun On The Trail
Honda has announced its FourTrax Foreman Rubicon 4x4 ATVs for model year 2024, bringing back many of the high-end amenities previously included on the lineup. All four 2024 trim levels, for example, include an independent rear suspension (IRS) and a fuel-injected, 518-cc engine. The IRS is tuned to work with the Rubicon’s Maxxis tires to take full advantage aggressive tread pattern and improve traction in rocky and muddy terrain, while also providing a smoother ride in all types of riding conditions. The 518-cc engine delivers quick acceleration and powers the Rubicon’s towing capacity, allowing it to function as well when hauling loads as it does off-roading on a trail.
Rubicon Trims
The availability of Honda’s automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DTC) and Electronic Power Steering (EPS) are the primary differentiating features among the four Rubicon trim levels. One trim includes DCT, which upshifts and downshifts for the rider, but not EPS, which reduces steering effort and kickback through the handlebar. Another trim offers EPS but not DCT. There are two trims with DCT and EPS; one of these is the Deluxe trim that adds contrast-cut aluminum wheels, a color-matched suspension, and painted bodywork. Color options vary by trim level, but overall colors for 2024 model year Rubicons include Black Forest Green, Honda Phantom Camo, Matte Gray Metallic, and Matte Navy Blue.
Key Specs
The 2024 FourTrax Foreman Rubicon 4x4 has a towing capacity of 1,322 pounds (600 kilograms). Its front rack can carry up to 99 lbs (45 kg), and its rear-rack capacity increases to 187 lbs (85 kg). The 4x4 ATV has a TraxLok 2WD/4WD selector with three modes: 2WD, 4WD, and 4WD with locking front differential. When the latter option is engaged, riders can activate TraxLok’s Speed Override mode, which provides access to higher wheel speeds in deep mud and other extreme terrain conditions, Honda says. The Rubicon has 9.7 inches (246 millimeters) of ground clearance and rides on 25-in. (635-mm) wheels with dual disc brakes on the front and rear.
