New Holland Introduces New Braud 11.90X Multi Harvester For North America
New Holland Agriculture is expanding its fruit harvester line with the launch of its new Braud 11.90X Multi Harvester, designed for high-density olive groves and tree nut orchards, for the North American market. The harvester is making its public debut today through Thursday, February 16 at the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California.
“Our proven performance in vineyards in North America and around the world with New Holland Braud fruit harvesters is well-known and has garnered us a reputation as the industry leader,” says Thierry Le Briquer, head of Grape and Olive Harvesters for New Holland. “This new model builds on the foundation New Holland Braud has built and propels our harvester portfolio into its next evolution with a focus on servicing super-efficient, super high-density growing operations and growers that aim to create a more sustainable cropping system.”
Upgrades Across The Board
Developed for high-density olive groves and tree nut orchards such as almonds, hazelnuts, and pistachios, the harvester can work with multiple crops with minimal impact on trees. The Braud 11.90X is equipped with the SDC shaking system with independent, rear-hinged shaking rods on maintenance-free flexible fixations to ensure gentle picking. The oversized Noria basket system uses flexible polyurethane buckets attached to the harvesting head to collect and convey crops without loss or maceration. The high-capacity tank provides a maximized cleaning surface for high-quality harvest. The Braud 11.90X can harvest olive orchards at speeds up to 4 km/h or 2.5 mph in almonds for greater coverage in a shorter time.
The multi harvester cab is equipped with pneumatic seats and air conditioning for operator comfort and has a high clearance for visibility over crop rows. The multifunction handle and IntelliView IV monitor allow the operator to control equipment functions and precision applications, including auto guidance and implement control. A GPS row tracking system is available as an option, and IntelliField is available as part of the full telematics package; it lets multi-harvester operations share tracks when operating in the same field.
“Not only is this machine safeguarding crop quality, but offering a size and speed advantage we haven’t seen in the North America harvester market, making it an even more efficient tool,” Le Briquer says. “It leverages an extra-large basket, so more capacity and less stopping, and can be driven on the road, reducing the need for additional transportation support.”
