Case IH has added a new AccuSync feature to its AFS suite of connected precision ag tools. AccuSync lets growers share real-time data among their machines in the field to help operators work together more efficiently. For example, AccuSync can share coverage maps and A/B guidance lines for all seasons of use to prevent overseeding in previously planted areas and ensuring parallel passes for all connected machines. AccuSync can also provide section control down to the field level based on coverage maps. Case IH also announced new AFS Connect updates that improve data reporting and let growers configure custom alert thresholds.
What Is AFS AccuSync?
When using multiple machines in the same field, AFS AccuSync lets the connected fleet share real-time field logistics, which are accessible through the AFS Connect management platform.
“At its core, AFS AccuSync allows for easy sharing of in-field data,” says Kendal Quandahl, AFS marketing manager. “When machines are operating on the same job, producers can monitor fleet progress and performance and uncover opportunities to operate even more efficiently.”
Case IH points out that AFS AccuSync can help producers gather more accurate data from tillage and planting to nutrient application and spraying—all the way to harvest yields.
“AFS AccuSync is a game-changer for farmers who’ve long desired a way to intuitively manage and link their equipment to give operators more ways to use data for better in-field outcomes,” Quandahl says.
AFS Connect Upgrades
Case IH says it has upgraded AFS Connect to provide easier access to operational information. The new Insights report, for instance, delivers a daily summary of fleet data for review, including actionable reports like idle time and fuel use. New updates for the AFS Connect dashboard also simplify the data reporting and review process. On this dashboard, Case IH added a Report Builder tab to let producers easily export daily usage reports for use by third-party software. New CAN parameters are integrated into the Farm section (previously under the Fleet tab) in AFS Connect and the AFS Connect Farm mobile app, so producers can create custom thresholds. Once these specific trigger events are set, alerts are generated and delivered in real time.
