Kawasaki describes its Brute Force 300 as “your ultimate outdoor accomplice,” able to take you wherever your chores or explorations lead. Powered by a 271-cc, four-stroke engine, the ATV has large, protective floorboards and front and rear cargo racks that can handle up to 44 and 66 pounds (20 and 30 kilograms), respectively. Kawasaki offers it in Super Black and Bright White.

    Agile Handling

The two-wheel-drive Brute Force 300 has low steering effort, according to Kawasaki, although it doesn’t have electronic power steering (EPS). Its steel, double-cradle frame provides 6.1 inches (155 millimeters) of ground clearance.

An independent A-arm front suspension gives the Kawasaki 5.2 in. (132 mm) of wheel travel, and its single-shock rear swingarm allows for 5.6 in. (142 mm) of give. The ATV’s braking system uses twin 180-mm (7.1-in.) discs in the front and one 180-mm disc in back. Its Maxxis tubeless tires are sized AT 22 x 7-10 on the front wheels and AT 22 x 10-10 in the rear.

    Pulling Power

The Brute Force’s carbureted, liquid-cooled, SOHC, single-cylinder engine generates 15.9 pounds-foot (21.6 newton-meters) of torque at 6,500 rpm. Its pulling power is good for 500 lbs (227 kg) of towing capacity. The motor comes equipped with an electric starter. The ATV’s shaft final drive is actuated by a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with a centrifugal clutch, high/low ranges, and reverse.

Kawasaki outfits the Brute Force 300 with a digital instrument cluster. It includes a speedometer, an odometer, a clock, and a coolant temperature light. The recreational/utility vehicle has a 3.2-gallon (12.1-liter) fuel tank and a curb weight of 535.8 lbs (243 kg). It can fit on trailers or in truck beds that are at least 75.4 in. (1,915 mm) long and 42.5 in. (1,080 mm) wide.
