Landini recently announced its Trekker4 crawler tractors for 2022. Designed for challenging terrains, the Trekker4 comes in three versions: Standard for open fields, Orchard (F version), and Mountain (M version). The Trekker4 tractors have horsepower ratings from 75 to 112 (56 to 83.5 kilowatts). All models have engines that are Stage V emissions-compliant, are equipped with a passively regenerating diesel particulate filter (DPF), and use a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC). Models rated for more than 75 HP also have selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and a 2.8-gallon (10.5-liter) AdBlue tank. The 2022 models retain the same dimensions and heights as their Stage IIIB predecessors.

    Other Updated Features

The new Trekker4 has an operator platform that is completely suspended from the wagon and engine compartment, which insulates the operator from heat and vibration for improved comfort. Improvements have also been made to front and side visibility and ergonomics; the tractor has an optimized driver’s seat and a redesigned right-side control console. A new six-post cab with a category 2 filtration system, air conditioning, a radio, and protection from dust, noise, and atmospheric agents is available as an option.

The tracks for the crawler tractors come in either steel or rubber. The F version has a track width of 43 inches (1,100 millimeters) while the M has a track width of 51 in. (1,300 mm). Semi-lubricated steel tracks for the F range from 12 to 14 in. (310 to 360 mm) and 16 to 18 in. (400 to 450 mm) for the M. For both versions, the rubber soles are 16 in. wide, with track widths of 44.5 in. (1,132 mm) in the F range and 51 in. in the M range.

The tractors’ 16+8 speed transmission operates with a synchro reverse shuttle and can be configured with overdrive to increase the top speed to 9 mph (15 km/h), or with a Creeper gear to move at a minimum speed of just under 2 mph (300 meters per hour).

    Hydraulic Upgrades & Options

The Trekker4 has a dual-pump hydraulic circuit equipped with one 28.5 liters per minute (7.5 gallons per minute) pump for steering and another 42 LPM (11 gpm) pump for managing hitches and spool valves. Landini provides options to add three or five hydraulic rear spool valves, as well as six front quick couplers and a flow regulator. You can also add an optional ELS to the rear hitch, boosting its maximum load capacity to 6,945 pounds (3,150 kilograms) in the standard configuration and 9,920 lbs (4,500 kg) if equipped with two extra hydraulic cylinders.
