AGCO To Launch Telemetry-Based AGCO Connect Solution For North American Farmers In August
European growers and ag equipment dealers gained access last year to AGCO’s next-generation telemetry AGCO Connect solution, which provides remote equipment-related location and diagnostics data. In late August, North American farmers will gain access, as well. AGCO has announced it will launch the tool it bills as enhancing productivity, efficiency, and profitability at the 2019 Farm Progress Show occurring August 27 to 29. AGCO manufactures and distributes farm equipment globally and owns the Challenger, Fendt, GSI, Massey Ferguson, Valtra, and White Planters brands.
Time To Connect
AGCO Connect stems from AGCO’s Fuse smart farming division, which offers digital ag solutions for year-round use, harvesting, grain storage and monitoring, planting, and growing. Available via dealer networks, Fuse products and services ensure “open connectivity and application” within the product ranges of AGCO’s core brands, as well as products from other ag equipment makers. Besides AGCO Connect, examples of other Fuse products include AgCommand, Smart Connect, Fendt Logistics, AccuBoom, Harvest Tracker Live, and WatchDog.
AGCO Connect enables customers and dealers to remotely and securely connect their mixed AGCO fleets to one platform via mobile devices and PCs to access machine status data and various machine performance information. The latter includes fuel levels, fuel consumption rates, engine hours, time to service, and current and historical positioning data. Logistics management, remote accessibility, and better decision-making abilities are among the benefits the company says AGCO Connect offers. Dealers, meanwhile, gain access to various tools that provide proactive and remote diagnostic support abilities and machine-activity overviews.
Get Personal
AGCO Connect notably enables users to personalize the solution per their preferred AGCO brand. “Regardless of the brand application, all users will receive the same data depending on the customer or dealer interface,” AGCO says. AGCO is providing current owners of high-horsepower equipment a free one-year subscription to the solution and new owners a three-year subscription. Additional subscription options are planned.
