Kubota Introduces Updated Z200 Zero-Turn Mowers For Residential Market
The Kubota Tractor Corporation recently announced the expansion of its residential mower line with an updated Z200 Series of zero-turn mowers. The series comprises three models, the Z232 with a 42-inch mower deck and the Z242 and Z252, which are available with either a 48-inch or 54-inch deck and Kohler or Kawasaki engines. Each of the new mowers features Kubota’s K-Ride comfort system to create a more enjoyable mowing experience. The new Z200 Series mowers will be available by the end of January.
“These mowers are perfect for homeowners with large properties or lawn to maintain that want a durable mower that mows like commercial mower, and will stand the test of time,” says Tom Vachal, Kubota senior turf product manager. “Some say our mowers are over-engineered for the residential market, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. That’s how Kubota has built its reputation, on durable, high-quality equipment and we keep that bar high across all product lines.”
About The Z200 Series
The new Z200 Series offers a variety of options and features to meet different needs, including foldable rollover protection system (ROPS; available on the Kawasaki engine models) for easy storage, an adjustable high-back suspension seat for operator comfort, a storage box with a cover, a push-button starter, and a high-strength steel mower deck.
The K-Ride comfort system reduces vibration and improves the mowing experience. Features vary according to model, but include a new foot pan design with foot pan isolators to lower vibration, the K-Lift pedal, which lets operators adjust cutting height while mowing with a one-push pedal, and a redesigned HST lever to reduce vibration.
“Just stepping into the operator seat, you feel the difference, and when you fire up and engage the mower, you appreciate the K-RIDE comfort system,” says Vachal.
